Are you a compassionate, caring paraprofessional seeking a challenging Remote ARD facilitator opportunity supporting students, by making sure all of the forms are filed out by the deadlines? We need someone that is passionate about checking all of the boxes while providing the support to the entire ARD team.

Position Details:
• Start Date: ASAP for the 2025–2026 school year
• Hours: Full and Part Time positions available
• Grade Levels: K–12 students
• Compensation: Starting at $18/hour (commensurate with experience)
• Location: 100% Remote

Position Overview:
An ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) facilitator coordinates and leads meetings for students in special education to develop, review, and update their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). They ensure the process complies with federal and state regulations, guide discussions between educators, parents, and specialists, document decisions, and manage the required paperwork. This role is critical in supporting the needs of students with disabilities and ensuring their educational plans are properly implemented.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
• Meeting coordination: Schedule ARD meetings and ensure all required participants are present.
• Compliance: Ensure that the admission, review, and dismissal process adheres to all state and federal laws and regulations.
• IEP development: Facilitate the discussion and development or review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Documentation: Prepare and complete all required ARD paperwork, including documenting meeting discussions and decisions.
• Collaboration: Act as a liaison between parents, teachers, and other specialists, helping to guide consensus on the student’s educational plan.
• Support and training: May provide training or support to staff on special education processes and compliance issues.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills:
• Education and Certification: Associates/Bachelor’s degree and special education certification.
• Experience: Previous school experience required. Experience working with ARDs, meeting deadlines, scheduling, and rescheduling appointments.
• Knowledge: Requires knowledge of state and federal laws governing special education, as well as an understanding of the needs of students with disabilities.
• Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for managing meetings and working with diverse groups of people.
• Experience providing clinical or school-based social work services to children and adolescents.
• Strong clinical skills in assessment, counseling, and crisis response.
• Knowledge of school systems, child development, and evidence-based interventions.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including educators, psychologists, and administrators.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. The ability to interpret data and handle complex or challenging situations is also valuable.
• Familiarity with electronic recordkeeping systems; experience with telehealth is a plus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods and use a computer keyboard and mouse for typing and navigating software applications.
