  • August start to cover a medical leave thru December
  • Full-time hours: 35 hours per week
  • Supporting Pre-K/Early Childhood 
  • Caseload: 10-15 full cases and screening of 40-50 students
  • Experience with Linder's Play Based Assessment preferred
  • PEL Required
  • Pay rate beginning at $50

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) to join our dynamic team at E-Therapy. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing psychological services to students, families, and school staff, addressing academic, behavioral, social, and emotional concerns to support students' overall well-being and academic success.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
  • Interpret assessment results and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to develop and implement appropriate interventions and support plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, and social skills deficits.
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to create and implement programs and interventions to promote positive behavior support, social-emotional learning, and mental health awareness.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs), providing support and guidance to school teams.
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with challenging behaviors.
  • Serve as a resource to school staff, providing consultation, training, and support on topics related to psychological assessment, intervention, and behavior management.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessment results, counseling sessions, progress reports, and other relevant information.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP).
  • Previous experience working as an LSSP in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools, psychoeducational testing, and intervention strategies relevant to children and adolescents.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, school staff, and external agencies.
  • Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping.

Physical Requirements (Working in a School Setting):

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and move around in various areas of the school facility. The employee must be able to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents both verbally and in writing. The employee may need to lift or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds and may occasionally be required to bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Additionally, the employee must have the physical stamina to supervise and engage with students throughout the school day.
