Position Details: 

  • Start Date: August 2025 for the 25/26 school year
  • Hours: Part-Time 8-10 hours per week
  • Grade Levels: K-12 students
  • Compensation: Starting at $43 /hour (commensurate with experience)
  • Location: 100% Remote 
  • Required License/Certification: Must hold New Mexico Educational Diagnostician certification

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an Educational Diagnostician to join our dynamic team at E-Therapy. The successful candidate will play a vital role in conducting comprehensive assessments of students' learning needs, collaborating with school teams to develop appropriate educational plans and interventions.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' academic, cognitive, and developmental functioning to identify learning strengths and challenges.
  • Administer standardized assessments and conduct informal observations to gather information on students' academic performance, learning styles, and instructional needs.
  • Interpret assessment results and communicate findings to teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies based on assessment data.
  • Provide consultation and support to teachers and school staff on instructional strategies, accommodations, and modifications to meet students' diverse learning needs.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including eligibility and placement meetings, to review assessment data and make recommendations for educational services.
  • Monitor students' progress and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, making adjustments as needed to support student learning and achievement.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessment results, progress reports, and other relevant documentation.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Education, Educational Psychology, or related field.
  • Valid state certification as an Educational Diagnostician or eligibility for certification.
  • Previous experience conducting educational assessments and evaluations in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools, standardized testing procedures, and best practices in educational assessment.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, school staff, and external agencies.
  • Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping.
  • Experience in teletherapy or online assessment (preferred).

Physical Requirements (Remote Work):

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods and use a computer keyboard and mouse for typing and navigating software applications. The employee must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with colleagues and clients. Occasionally, the employee may need to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
